Flour, Ѕ cup
Crushed nuts, Ѕ cup
Brown sugar, Ѕ cup
Softened butter, 1/3 cup
Drain the potatoes well and mash them. Fold in the beaten eggs, butter, salt, chopped nuts, sugar, milk and vanilla. Pour the mix in a greased baking dish. In another bowl, mix all ingredients for the crust or topping. Spoon it evenly on the top of the potato mix. Canned Sweet Potato Pie
Ingredients:
Canned potatoes, drained, 1 pound
White sugar, 1 cup
Softened butter, Ѕ cup
Milk, Ѕ cup
Eggs, 2
Fresh chopped mixed herbs, 1 tsp
Ground nutmeg, ј tsp
Ground cinnamon, ј tsp
Ground black cloves, ј tsp
Vanilla extract, 1 tsp
Unbaked pie crust, 1
Lightly break canned sweet potatoes with your hand and set aside in a bowl. Spoon in the butter and mix it well. Now stir in the milk, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, black cloves, fresh herbs and vanilla. Using an egg beater, beat the ingredients, until the consistency becomes smooth. Very carefully, pour the mashed potatoes into the unbaked pie crust and press the sides down. Pork Roast and Canned Sweet Potatoes
Ingredients:
Canned potatoes, drained, 1 cup
Boneless pork roast, Ѕ pound
Thickly sliced green pepper, 1
Thickly sliced mushrooms, Ѕ cup
Grated ginger, ј tsp
Ground cinnamon, ј tsp
Ground nutmeg, ј tsp
Cooking oil, 2 tbsp
Fruit vinegar, Ѕ cup
Brown sugar, 1 tbsp
Salt and pepper, to taste
In a large heavy skillet heat oil. Brown the pork roast on all sides, and place it in a crock pot. Add green pepper slices, and all other ingredients except mushrooms canned sweet potatoes. Cook for about a couple of hours, and then add in the canned potatoes and mushroom. Cook for another couple of hours until pork is cooked. Serve with a bowl of rice.
